<p>Look around, there&#8217;s fat people everywhere and we just keep getting fatter. You would think we could figure this problem out, wouldn&#8217;t you? There&#8217;s something staring us right in the face and we don&#8217;t see it. No one seems to be concerned enough to lose weight. To me, the problem is as obvious as the nose on our face. It&#8217;s all about what the food industry is doing to us. They offer us processed foods loaded with fats, sugar and salt. They use chemicals to change our food. It is altered through additives such as flavors, flavor enhances, binders, colors, fillers, preservatives, stabilizers, etc. To make a long story short, we no longer eat natural food.                        <P><br />
A diet exclusive in processed foods will almost certainly lead to disease such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, allergies, emphysema, stomach ulcers, premature aging, impotence, hypoglycemia and arthritis. These countless diseases exist because chemically-synthesized substances disrupt the biochemistry of hundreds of billions of microscopic living cells which make up the body. Some of these diseases cause weight gain and is another reason to lose weight.<br />
<P><br />
Our bodies are designed to eat natural, raw foods; there&#8217;s no doubt about that. Raw foods contain beneficial enzymes and nutrients that are destroyed through processing. To be realistic though, there&#8217;s no way we could all eat only raw foods, but it is recommended that we eat as many fresh fruits and vegetables as possible. Eliminating all processed food is probably not going to happen for most of us. And weight loss will probably not happen to all of us<br />
<P><br />
We can make better food choices and supplement our diets with missing components. We can opt for the apple over the apple juice. We can choose a baked potato or salad over french fries. We can choose whole-grain bread over the white fluff that is passed off as bread. We can take the time to read food labels. Chances are, if you can&#8217;t pronounce it, you shouldn&#8217;t be eating it. We can choose processed foods with a very short list of ingredients; the longer the list, the more processing involved, the more nutrition lost, and the less chance of healthyweight loss.<br />
<P><br />
We need to show our bodies more respect. We need to take better care of it by dieting to accomplish weight loss. Our bodies are amazing organisms, capable of extraordinary things. They are designed to filter out toxins at an astounding rate. They have a highly sophisticated defense system. They have an amazing ability to recover from serious damage. The key lies in providing our bodies with the necessary building blocks to accomplish what they were designed to do-to keep us alive and weight loss is extremely important.<br />

How not to lose weight? There are definitely some healthy and many unhealthy ways to lose weight. Don&#8217;t get caught up in fad diets with claims that sound way out of proportion to a normal healthy way to take off those extra pounds. When you lose weight you want to end up looking better and feeling better not worse.<br />
<P><br />
There is a lot of controversy about the correct way to |lose weight|. Everybody would have you believe that their way is the best way. If you are serious about losing weight the sensible way so that you sustain your weight loss for years to come then it is worth dispelling some of the myths that surround the weight loss industry and the fitness industry.<br />
<P><br />
If you see a diet saying you will <A HREF="http://lose-weight-ez.com/09/lose-weight/">|lose weight|</A> in 7 days, the truth of the matter is, yes you may well lose weight in 7 days , but only 2lb of any weight lost will be fat. Any other weight lost during the 7 days will be either water, muscle or both.<br />
<P><br />
You will come across many thoughts and ideas about how to lose weight and some of them are distinctly unhealthy and will not only cause health problems but may also cause you to gain weight<br />
<P><br />
Here are some examples<br />
<P><br />
1. A fad diet, found on <A HREF="http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&#038;q=lose+weigh">Google</A>, such as the Hollywood Cookie diet, juice fasting or the Grapefruit diet and follow it for a week. At best you will lose 5/6 lbs that will go straight back on the minute you return to normal eating, at worst you will feel really ill, possibly very light headed and/or headaches as your body tries to adjust to this unhealthy regime. Don&#8217;t try to |lose weight| this way<BR><br />
2. A daily visit to the gym doing  bench presses or dead lifting double your body weight followed by 100 abdominal crunches. We now know that abdominal crunches are not the way to creating a six pack and great care needs to be taken when under taking a fitness regime to ensure you are not doing your body more harm than good.<BR><br />
3. Eat no more than three times a day and do not eat after 6 p.m. Do not eat real food, focus on protein bars and pre-packaged foods. Eating smaller meals more often is now thought to be the way forward and protein bars are foremergencies only. Nothing can replace &#8220;real&#8221; food as this is what the body recognises.<BR><br />
4. Dramatically reduce your calorie intake. Low calorie diets are now thought to be dangerous and cause the body to go into adrenal stress. This will not help you to lose weight and may even cause you to gain weight.<BR><br />
5. Do not eat breakfast. Have two cups of coffee and a low-fat muffin. High carbohydrate breakfast and stimulant drinks such as coffee will play havoc with your metabolism and give you a very bad start to the day whether you are on a weight loss diet or not. Also your low fat muffin may well contain hydrogenated fat which is very bad for your health.<BR><br />
6. Take diet pills. This is an absolute &#8220;no, no&#8221;  Avoid at all costs.<br />
<P><br />
Weight loss is in fact an intricate science. It follows the science of how the body works. If you do not follow this correctly you will not maintain your weight loss in the future<br />

If you&#8217;re eating wrong for your body type, you may never be able to |lose weight| successfully. Are you an endomorph, mesomorph or ectomorph body type? In the 1940&#8217;s, Dr. William H Sheldon, an American psychologist became fascinated by the study of human body types.  Sheldon&#8217;s devoted his life to observing how body types were related to temperaments. As a part of his extensive research on the subject, Sheldon developed a three part classification system for body types known as SOMATOTYPING. It is interesting to understand the boy types in order to have a better understanding of why some people struggle to  |lose weight|<br />

Sheldon identified three distinct body types:<br />

1. The Mesomorphs &#8211; the genetically gifted types who are lean, muscular and naturally athletic. <BR><br />
2. The Endomorphs &#8211;  the fat retainers. Endomorphs have a round body shape and large joints (they are &#8220;big boned&#8221;) and they often have great difficulty losing body fat. There&#8217;s a good chance that if you struggle to |lose weight|, you are an endomorph or you are at least partially endomorph.<BR><br />
3. The Ectomorphs &#8211; the lean, skinny types. They are usually very thin and bony, with fast metabolisms and extremely low body fat.<BR><br />

From the above information you can see that the endomorph body type is someone who is genetically prone to store fat easily due to a slow metabolism. Endomorph body types are usually, but not always, large-framed with medium to large joints. If you&#8217;re an endomorph and you mess up on your diet, the surplus calories are almost certain to go to fat. Even when you&#8217;re in a caloric deficit, it seems like the fat goes down at a painfully slow rate. Your ability to |lose weight| will be impaired if you do not know what to eat to encourage weight loss<br />

If you think you are an endomorph don&#8217;t lose heart, there are countless examples of endomorphs who were once overweight or obese and who went on to  |lose weight|  and become super lean. What they did was to simply understand their body type and adjust their nutrition and training accordingly. They understood that they couldn&#8217;t copy someone else&#8217;s diet and <A HREF="http://lose-weight-ez.com/09/41/">|lose weight| </A>unless that other person had the same type of body.<br />
